Alaska Common Ground Hosting Health Care Town Halls in Anchorage

The following is an announcement from Alaska Common Ground: Can Alaska's High health care costs be cured? Facts, consequences, causes, and solutions. This four-part series hosted by Alaska Common Ground examines the facts, causes, consequences, and potential solutions regarding the difference between the Alaska's health care costs and the U.S.'s health care costs.

All events will be held from 7pm to 9pm at the 49th State Brewing Company, 717 W 3rd Ave, Anchorage. There is a suggested $10 donation for each event.

Facts and Trends Regarding Alaska's High Health Care Costs. Wednesday, November 15th. This event features original findings from financial analyst Mark Foster, commentary on those findings from economist Jonathan King and UAA Institute of Social and Economic Research Economics Professor Mouhcine Guettabi, and audience Q&A. Bonus: Special tips on how you can hold down your doctor bills and hospital bills.

Storytelling - Personal, Economic, and Fiscal Consequences. Wednesday, November 29th. An evening of personal stories detailing how high Alaskan health care costs have affected lives, business, and government.

Causes of Alaska's High Healthcare Costs. Wednesday, December 13th. Experts-including medical providers-will discuss why Alaska's health care costs are higher than those of every other state.

Potential Solutions. Wednesday, January 10th. What can we do about Alaska's high health care costs?
